This second volume traces some of the most important episodes of Charlotte Perriand's work : her trips to Japan in 1940-1941 and in 1953-1955, during which she was a consultant to the government regarding the industrial art production of the country, and her realisations for the reconstruction , marked by her collaboration with the Ateliers Jean Prouvé and with great architects such as Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Paul Nelson, Jean de Mailly or Kenzô Tange.
This book contains her famous article "L'art d'habiter" published in the journal Techniques et Architecture in 1950, and which explains her philisophy and her approach as an architect and a designer.
