L'Homme de l'art - Pierre Assouline
The first biography devoted to the greatest art dealer of his time. An apprentice banker from Germany, Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler found his true calling in 1907, when he opened a small painting gallery in Paris. He became the most ardent propagandist of the Cubists. "His painters were Picasso, Braque, Gris, Léger, de Vlaminck, Derain, Masson... It has been said of him as of no other that he was "the man of art".
