Charlotte Perriand, Complete Works. Vol 1, 1903-1940

9782915542608
Charlotte Perriand is one of the most marking figures of design from the 20th century. Along with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, she designed many pieces of furniture, considered today as masterpieces, and notably the famous "Chaise longue basculante".

First volume from a series of 4 books, this work presents her early years : her education, her discovery of photography, her apprenticeship at the Union centrale des arts décoratifs, her first projects and her first pieces of furniture. It also allows us to understand her activist engagements that led her to think an architecture in the service of the people, such as her "Maison au bord de l'eau" (1934).
