Silk Road by Kishin Shinoyama - Fashion Eye

The work of Japanese photographer Kishin Shinoyama in this collection is drawn from 8 volumes published in 1981 and 1982. These photographs illustrate the way people lived through scenes in markets and places of worship. They are a priceless record of treasures such as the Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan, the ancient site of Palmyra and the souk of Aleppo in Syria, which have now disappeared due to wars and fanaticism.
